For that I need to relearn all mechanics, I was quite good at it on Ps3 but its been so long ago.
Resident evil 6 ada puzzles Ps4#
I do have the PS4 version since it was released which has everything and looks really good but for some reason I didn't bother with Mercs yet. RE5 simply nailed the hit feedback and animations. The thing I liked less about RE6 mercs were its downgraded graphics, and the worse hit feedback. I S'd everything and unlocked all chars and then went back to RE5 mercs.

The Mercs is very good thanks to the mechanics, but I never pre ordered anything on Ps3 so I only had a few stages. The Co-op helper is also better because it doesn't need management and cannot really die, its less of a burden in RE6. In the more open spaces you can really boss around. The best way to dodge those spits is by laying down and rolling to the sides, its pretty great. But if you want to suplex zombies, want to slide and shoot, dive and roll, go pure melee or shoot while chilling on your back then this is it. The controls are shit if you're inside buildings with little space to move in. Capcom however never bothered to teach you half of it and the level design doesn't mesh well with it. Its as if the game plays itself.īut there are some good things hidden in there. Those boss battles are ridiculous as well, while I feel I hardly contribute it goes on and on. making a survival horror game with RE7.īut anyway, RE6 is a fucking frankenstein and it goes on for far too long. Capcom pretty much threw everything but the kitchen sink at it and looked to what would stick. This game was a colossal waste of resources. It would feel tighter and more pacy as a result.

It should have been one 12 - 15 hour campaign where, when the story intersected, you simply ended playing as the other characters for the next section. I've fought the same battles from different angles too many times. I have now searched for 3 different keys in each campaign, fighting off the rubber regenerators all the while.

There's an excellent game here trying to get out, but it seems like as soon as a designer had a good idea, they simply repeated it. This didn't build tension, it was almost laughable - and that's made me realise my difficulties with the campaign. It reached its nadir when, whilst trying to run away from the Ustanak in the caverns, I ended up opening four doors in the same basic animation style, one straight after the other. Thanks for the heads up on the FOV sliders - has made the experience a lot more comfortable, although Jake's campaign is my least favourite currently of them all. So, kids were at school today and wife was visiting friends - along with a bit of playtime last night I've now finished Jake's campaign and 2 chapters of Ava's.
